What is Cavi-Lipo?
Cavitation is a natural phenomenon based on low-frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound waves vibrate millions of times a second. These vibrations create bubbles inside the fat cells, causing them to rupture. The result is instant, painless, and permanent fat loss. Ultrasound cavitation does not negatively affect or damage vascular, nervous, or muscular tissue.
Who is a good candidate for Ultrasound Cavi-Lipo treatments?
Most people can have the treatment. I you are not sure if you would be a good candidate please contact us. You may also discuss this with your doctor.
Is Cavi-Lipo painful?
No, ultrasound cavitation is a painless treatment. You will hear a light vibration "ringing" during the process. Treatments are quite relaxing and are similar to getting a warm message.
Is Cavi-Lipo a safe treatment?
Yes, Cavi-Lipo is FDA-approved to be safe and effective. It is a nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia. It is noninvasive and there is no downtime after the treatment. You can go right back to your routine.
What part of the body can I get Cavi-Lipo done on?
Common areas to get the treatment on include: thighs, abdomen, buttocks, back fat, and double chins but there is no real limitation as to areas of the body that can be treated.
What kind of results can you expect?
The average result is 1/2 or more after a single session with increasing results after each visit. Proper diet and increased physical activity will improve your results and help to maintain the loss of inches. Results may vary with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones.
How does the body get rid of the fat after treatment?
The body moves the liquefied fat through your lymphatic system and it gets eliminated as waste. Your body eliminates the fat of a single session in approximately 3 to 10 days.
Are the results of Cavi-Lipo similar to liposuction?
The Cavi-Lipo can be considered as a treatment alternative to surgical liposuction. Both treatments are designed to reduce fatty tissues. However, Liposuction is 'invasive' while Cavi-Lipo is non-invasive.
If I gain weight will I look unproportional as is similar with liposuction?
No. Cavi-Lipo removes layers of fat a little at a time. If you gain weight you will gain it proportionally and you will not look unbalanced. Liposuction procedures remove all of the fat from an area and may cause you to look unproportional if you gain weight.
Does it work on Cellulite?
Yes, low-frequency ultrasound (40kHz) generally works well on cellulite by focusing the ‘cavitation effect’ on the superficial fat tissue. By destroying some of the fat and then treating the skin to strengthen collagen, cavi-lipo can dramatically improve the look of cellulite.
What long-term results can I expect with ultrasound cavitation?
You can achieve ‘volume reduction’ of fatty tissues. The results are gradual over several weeks as your body clears the broken-down fatty tissues. The results can be long-lasting provided you follow a healthy diet and exercise program. However, it is very easy to deposit fat again into the fat cells you have left if you over-eat, consume too much alcohol, or don't exercise. Ultimately the result may vary depending on the individual’s different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medication, and changes in hormones.
Can I lose weight with Ultrasound Cavitation?
Fat Cavitation is not a treatment for obesity nor is it a weight loss procedure. Rather is a method for ‘reshaping’ and ‘toning’ the body. It is particularly intended to reduce localized fat tissues that are resistant to exercise around the abdomen (love handles), buttocks, and thighs (saddle bags), that won’t easily go away by simple dieting and exercise.
What guidelines should I follow pre-treatment and, post-treatment?
Drink plenty of water before and after treatment for maximum elimination of fat cells & toxins
Minimize the intake of alcohol and fat 24 hours before and after treatment
Immediately after treatment take a walk, engage in light exercise, or receive a massage
Follow a healthy diet and exercise plan
How many treatments do you recommend getting for each area of the body?
For best results 3 to 6 treatments are recommended, however as little as 1 treatment may address your issue. Treatments can be done every 3 days and can continue until you are happy with your results.
How long do treatments take?
Treatments are 30 minutes long. Treatment times may vary depending on the area being treated but a typical session will last between 45 minutes to an hour. This includes the preparation, treatment, and post-treatment procedures.
